Cost: the cost of the two-week course, including 14-night hotel accomodation and breakfast, 12 three hour lessons with all course material, is £1400 per person for a single or double standard room with en-suite bathroom. Upgrade to a luxury room or apartment-style suite is available in the same hotel for an additional cost (usually extra £20 per night). The hotel is located in the centre of Yerevan, close to the renowned Opera House. The course is in a standard hotel, however, we can upgrade you to a 4* hotel if required. There is no extra charge for one-to-one individual tuition.
Extras: lunch and evening meals are not included, however, a discounted rate for participants in the hotel's restaurant is offered (around £5-£8 per person for a meal). Optional tours, concerts, evening entertainment are not included. Staff happily assists participants with restaurant, tour, concert and other bookings free of charge 7 days a week during the course.
Participants are required to pay 50% of the amount (£700) at registration, and the remaining 50% at least 4 weeks before the start of the course. Booking is confirmed once the deposit is paid for the chosen dates.
The Winter Course in Tsakhadzor has an additional hotel charge due to high season at the Olympic resort. The extra cost is between £30-£50 per person per night. Participants can choose to stay between 3-7 days at the Olympic resort of Taghkadzor, and the remainder of the course takes place in Yerevan. While in Tsakhadzor, participants can hire all skiing and snowboarding equipment at the resort. Multi-lingual tutor accompanies participants and lessons continue as usual, on daily basis.
Duration of each level of the course is two weeks. The courses start on a Monday and finish on a Saturday, Sundays are free. If participants wish to stay more than two weeks, and enroll in the next level of the course, it can be arranged before the start of the course.
Participants are advised to arrive to Yerevan on Saturday or Sunday before the start of the course on following Monday. Designated staff meets and accompanies participants from Yerevan airport to the hotel upon arrival, and back to the airport at the time of departure.
Cancellation by organiser: in the unlikely event that the organiser cancels the course, a full refund will be made to each participant for the amount already paid.
Cancellation by participant: if the participant cancels the course 30 days before the start of the course, we will charge only for banking transfer or payment fees. If the participant cancels the course 30 days or less before the start of the course, 20% of the total amount will be charged. In the event of medical or other emergencies, and upon receipt of an original medical certificate, the participant will receive a 90% refund of the total amount of the course, and 10% of the total amount will be charged for administrative costs.
Visa to Armenia: tourist visa can be obtained directly at the airport uopn arrival for no more than £20 for most nationals. Participants are advised to have enough cash in major currencies in order to obtain entry visa. French nationals do not require entry visas from 2013 (until further notice). Please check with the Armenian Embassy in your country of residence for further details. Participants are required to have valid passports at least for another 6 months after their arrival to Armenia.
Money exchange: Major credit cards are accepted in shops, restaurants and cafés in Yerevan, whereas money can be easily withdrawn in banks, ATMs and bureaux de change.
Travel Insurance: we strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance for the entire length of the visit to Armenia. Our staff will assist happily in case of any emergency or hospital treatment.
